A wedding with touches of bohemian beauty in a historic downtown building.
Ashley and Tim are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. I’ve known Tim for a really long time (our moms are cousins), but I’ve never really spent a lot of time with him. When I met with Tim and Ashley to chat about their wedding, I was wondering why our families don’t hang out more often. Tim is hilarious and Ashley made me feel like I was in the presence of an angel. She gives off this gentle, loving vibe that makes you want to eat frosted pink cupcakes and hold a baby.
Ok, enough of my random tangents. Let’s talk about their wedding!
Ashley and Tim’s wedding was held at Loft 84 in Downtown Riverside. It was an incredibly hot day in the middle of a heatwave and we were so thankful this gorgeous, historic building had air conditioning!
Everything in Loft 84 has been thoughtfully designed for weddings.
The bridal room upstairs from the ceremony and reception location was the perfect blend of vintage decor and open space.
I have a slight obsession with flowers and was so excited to photograph Ashley’s bouquet from The Nature of Things against the vintage, wood walls.
The groom’s room was also full of fun details.
Check out this cool date tracker that I moved to their wedding date.
The ring pillow is a family heirloom that was used in Tim’s grandparents’ wedding.
The ring bearer, Dylan, wanted nothing to do with pictures.
Until he was convinced it was cool.
Then he wanted to be in ALL the pictures!
Ashley and Tim didn’t want to see each other before the wedding ceremony, but they wanted to be able to have a moment to themselves.
I found this little spot where they were able to hold hands and say a prayer together.
I think my favorite part of Loft 84 as a wedding venue is the dramatic ceremony entrance for the bride.
Photographing Ashley walking down the stairs to meet her dad gave me goosebumps.
I loved the giant, theatre style curtains.
Ashley and Tim, thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding! It brought me so much joy to photograph two genuinely kind people in love.
