The 26th Distinguished Lecture Series on Brain, Learning and Memory
The UCI Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory hosted Dr. Patricia Churchland of University of California, San Diego for an interesting lecture titled, “Conscience: The Origins of Moral Intuition.”
The evening started with a VIP reception backstage. There’s something exciting about knowing the only thing that stands between you and a huge auditorium is a theatre curtain.
Guests were welcomed with the chance to win brain-related prizes and the opportunity to hold a real, human brain! Keep scrolling for brain pictures.
I love Dr. Churchland’s stage presence. Her passion filled up the room.
Following the presentation and a Q&A session, there was a book signing. A lot of students couldn’t wait to share how Dr. Churchland’s work had inspired them.
Here they are! Pictures of guests holding a human brain. Students from CNLM explained the different parts and how they use science in community outreach.
Isn’t science cool? I love getting to learn something new while I work. If you have a public lecture or event coming up that you need a photographer for, I would be happy to chat with you about it. Just click here to send me an email.
